Here at Merrimack Urology Associates our board-certified urologists focus on specialized care for the full range of urological concerns. We work collaboratively with primary care physicians and other specialists throughout the Greater Lowell area, making it a priority that each patient has a unified care experience.   • Advanced Robotics & Laparoscopic Surgery – Our experienced doctors perform minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery for prostate cancer, reconstructive procedures for the kidney and bladder, as well as many others, with smaller scars and shorter hospital stays. Lowell General has been designated as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by the SRC.
  • MR Fusion Guided Prostate Biopsy – We provide our patients with the latest advances in image guided prostate biopsy. With the use of 3T MRI technology, combined with the Artemis system for fusion guidance, a prostate lesion can be more accurately assessed for early cancer detection.
  • In-Office PSA Testing – Our professional team is able to obtain a blood sample upon your arrival, and provide you with a prompt PSA result at the time of your visit. This service is key in detecting and monitoring prostate cancer.
  • Cystoscopy – Essential in the management of bladder cancer, we provide office based cystoscopy for prompt diagnosis.
  • Vasectomy – The choice of vasectomy for permanent male birth control can be scheduled and performed as an office procedure.
  • Urinalysis – Labarotory services in house provide prompt results at the time of your visit to guide your care.
  • Incontinence Relief – Evaluation and management of urinary incontinence is available with urodynamics testing, pessary fittings, and surgical options when necessary.
  • Bladder Scanning & Flow Rate – Voiding dysfunction can be quickly assessed with our in office non-invasive bladder scanners and flowmeters.
